Linkit
Plugins

Zid

Activate Linkit in the Zid App Market, link the store to your Linkit organization once, then install Zid Orders & Fulfillment, Inventory, Promotions, Catalog, Store Insights & Control, Customers and Questions & Reviews on it. No API keys, no tokens, no Store ID.

Zid

Linkit connects to Zid through the Linkit app in the Zid App Market. When you activate it and approve its permissions, Zid gives Linkit access to your store by itself, so there is nothing to copy: no API key, no token, no Store ID and no webhook URL. You link the store to your Linkit organization once, and every Zid app you install in Linkit uses that same connection.

There is no plugin to download. Zid is a SaaS platform, and the Linkit app in the Zid App Market is the whole integration on Zid's side.

The apps

All of them share one store connection. Install only the ones you need, in any order.

AppWhat it does
Zid Orders & Fulfillment (zid-orders)Brings Zid orders into Linkit within seconds, with a regular check that catches anything missed. Status changes made in Linkit go back to Zid.
Zid Inventory (zid-inventory)Sends stock and prices to Zid for each Zid location you match to a Linkit branch. Follows the store's branch routing, SKU whitelist and product mappings.
Zid Promotions (zid-marketing)Sends your Linkit offers to Zid as coupon codes shoppers enter at checkout. Percentage and fixed-amount discounts are sent; bundles, buy X get Y and free shipping are not. Each coupon is sent once you accept it in the offer review.
Zid Catalog (zid-catalog)Creates the products you stock in Linkit that your Zid store does not have yet, from your own data. A product whose SKU is already in the store is left as it is.
Zid Store Insights & Control (zid-store)Sales, orders, average order value and best sellers, worked out from the Zid orders Linkit receives, with your store's profile and settings. Its figures come from the orders Zid Orders & Fulfillment brings in, so install both on the same store.
Zid Customers (zid-customers)Adds your Zid customers to Linkit and keeps their details up to date. Someone already in Linkit with the same phone number, or else the same email, is linked rather than added twice.
Zid Questions & Reviews (zid-reviews)Your store's product reviews and shoppers' questions in one Linkit inbox, where your team answers them.

The older Zid apps for webhooks, exports, categories, metadata and store settings are no longer offered. The store connection registers the store's events by itself, and the store and catalogue work those apps wrapped is now Zid Store Insights & Control and Zid Catalog.

Connect your store (about two minutes)

  1. Activate Linkit in Zid. In your Zid dashboard, open the App Market, search for Linkit and press Activate. Approve the permissions Zid shows.
  2. Continue to Linkit. Zid then shows a Linkit page with a one-time code (it looks like ABCDE-FGHJK, works once and lasts 30 minutes). Press Continue to Linkit.
  3. Sign in and connect. Sign in to Linkit (the code waits for you while you do). If your account belongs to more than one organization, choose the one the store belongs to, then press Connect store. Linkit never links a store just because the page was opened; it waits for that press.
  4. Install the apps. Press Install the Zid apps on this store. The App Store opens on that store with the Zid apps ready to install. In the wizard the store is already listed as Connected and selected.
  5. Map your branches, once per store. Under Branch routing, choose which Linkit branches serve the store, match each one to a Zid location and press Save branch routing. Optionally add catalogue rules (a SKU whitelist or product mappings) and press Save catalog rules. These rules belong to the store connection, so every other Zid app reuses them.

Starting from Linkit instead

In Linkit, open App Store, choose any Zid app and press Install, then Continue to connect store. The step offers the same App Market path, and two more:

  • Connect from Linkit opens Zid in a small window. Sign in to Zid and approve Linkit there; the store connects to the organization you are working in, without a code. The step notices within a few seconds and selects the store. If nothing opens, your browser blocked the window: allow pop-ups for Linkit, or use the Open Zid in a new tab instead link it shows.
  • I have a code takes the one-time code from Zid's page, if you closed the page before continuing.

One organization, several stores

  • One Linkit organization can connect several Zid stores. Install each app once per store.
  • Each Zid store belongs to exactly one Linkit organization. Its orders, stock, customers and insights never reach another organization.
  • Tokens, rate limits, sync schedules and caches are kept per store connection, so one busy store cannot slow down another.

Waiting for ZidZid has not finished giving Linkit access to the store.Open the Linkit app in Zid and approve it, then press Check again.
Approval neededLinkit asks for a permission the store has not approved yet (a new app needed one), and Zid holds back the store's data until you approve it.In Zid, deactivate the Linkit app, activate it again and approve the permissions. The store reconnects by itself with its settings.
Reinstall neededZid withdrew Linkit's access to the store.Remove the Linkit app in Zid and install it again from the App Market. The store reconnects by itself, without a new code.
Removed from ZidThe Linkit app was uninstalled from the store in Zid, which revokes its access at once.Install it again from the Zid App Market; the store reconnects to the same organization with its saved settings.

Store events

Zid tells Linkit about new orders, product, customer and review changes by sending store events to an address Linkit registers for each store. The store's row shows whether they are registered (Receiving store events, Some store events are not registered, Store events are not registered) and what Zid last reported about delivering them.

Zid stops sending to an address that failed too often in an hour, and drops the events that were waiting. Press Re-register webhooks on the store to register them again; Linkit's regular order check fills in anything missed meanwhile.

Disconnecting a store

Disconnect store on the store's row detaches it from your organization. The Linkit app stays installed in Zid, and Linkit stops syncing with the store and clears its branch routing and catalogue rules in your organization. Apps that still use the store are named first and can be turned off (paused, not removed) in the same step. To link the store again, here or to another organization, open the Linkit app from your installed apps in Zid for a new one-time code; you do not need to reinstall it.

For operators

How Linkit's side is configured (the Zid Partner Dashboard app, its Redirection and Callback URLs, the app lifecycle events, the platform's environment variables) is in the engineering guides. None of it is something a merchant sets.
